I invite you to join me on an exciting journey into the lives of animals. We’ll briefly peek into their worlds by watching short videos. I’ve heard it said that if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video must be worth . . . . lots more!
What you’ll see in these videos may surprise you. Most of us have been conditioned to think about animals in limited ways. But our understanding of animals is changing. We are beginning to glimpse further into their hearts, minds and souls. And by doing that our connection to them is growing deeper. But we’ve only begun to scratch the surface. So much more is waiting to be discovered!
Our travels will take us into living rooms, backyards, mountains, deserts, jungles, oceans and other places where animals reside. To take part in this journey, all you need to do is click on the links below and hit the play button. Videos will be added sporadically as our adventure has no set itinerary (think mystery trip!). Sound fun? Let’s get started!

Not Exactly Solo Travelers
Seeing thousands of snow geese lift off at sunrise is magical. You can actually hear the sound of the air under their wings as they begin to take off. What a thrilling explosion of energy!
You may think this video sounds like science fiction, but it’s true! It briefly describes only a few of the known mental capabilities of this smart, solitary invertebrate.
Why would wild, free-roaming, gigantic ocean animals come up to small boats and allow people to touch them? No one really knows! Could the whales, along with the people, be tapping into mutual feelings of awe and some type of primordial spiritual connectiion?
Gretchen has felt a deep connection to animals since childhood. She wrote reports or stories about animals whenever possible for school assignments and ultimately received a degree in Ecology, Ethology (animal behavior) & Evolution as well as Psychology. After being a vegetarian for many years, she was shocked to learn about the treatment of animals raised for dairy and eggs and decided to become a vegan. She is currently working for a spiritual center where she founded and oversaw an animal ministry. She loves exploring the mystical realm where science meets spirituality, traveling to see animals in their natural environments and watching people light up as they learn about some of the lesser known characteristics and capabilities of animals.
